Itinerary
Arrive at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, Kenya, where you will be received and welcomed by your Tour~Driver Guide for onward transfer to the 4 star overnight hotel.
Rest of the day at leisure. In case you wish to see some of Nairobi's sights and sounds, we can arrange a brief drive through the city center, time allowing. Transfers to these can be arranged on request.
Dinner and overnight at the 4* Four Points Sheraton Nairobi Airport hotel or similar.
After an early breakfast, your driver will be waiting at the hotel reception to transfer you to the domestic , Wilson airport for your 07.30am flight [ subject to schedule changes]. You will be brought to the airport at least 45mins prior to the flight. Board your flight to Amboseli – flying time approx 35 mins:
Upon arrival you will be received and transferred from the airstrip to your overnight Lodge by the Lodge’s Driver guide in a 4x4 safari vehicle.
Amboseli Serena Lodge is an acclaimed, luxury property which offers beautiful views of the surrounding Amboseli park. You will likely also be able to see Africa’s highest mountain – Kilimanjaro, from the lodge, provided the sky is clear. Kilimanjaro , for all its beauty, has a ‘shy’ peak, often remaining shrouded in cloud cover – Dawn and Dust are often great times to see the peak.
Enjoy the rest of the morning at leisure before proceed for the delicious buffet lunch. After a short time for some ‘siesta’, get ready for your first African Safari game drive, at approx 3.30pm during which you explore the surrounding parts of the park and see its amazing wildlife. (The safari vehicle may carry other guests from the lodge).
Return to the lodge by evening [ typically 6 to 6.30pm], in time for dinner.
Overnight stay at Amboseli Serena Lodge:
Today you have an early rise for your estimated 6.15am Safari game drive during which you will see more of the Amboseli’s great wildlife. Early morning, and late afternoon are considered the best times to spot animals at their most active.
Amboseli is especially known for its prolific Elephant population. In fact the park is a research base for an Elephant project [ not open to visitors] and helps us understand these highly perceptive and what we’d call ‘’sixth sense intelligent’’ animals.
Return to the Lodge for a relaxed breakfast – rest of the morning at leisure. The lodge has a swimming pool but also offers a variety of add-on activities, such as nature walks.
After the sumptuous lunch, enjoy another mid afternoon safari game drive to further explore the park and its eco system. Return to the Lodge by evening [ typically 6 to 6.30pm] in time for a relaxed evening which may be enlivened by entertainment provided by the lodge, followed by dinner.
Overnight stay at Amboseli Serena Lodge:
Today you have an early breakfast and check out from the lodge by 7.15am for a short transfer to the nearby airstrip. Board your 08.10am flight back to Nairobi [ 45 mins flying time]. Upon arrival at Wilson, you board your onward flight to Samburu Reserve, arriving here by 10.30am.
Upon arrival you will be received and transferred from the airstrip to your overnight Lodge by the Lodge’s Driver guide in a 4x4 safari vehicle.
Samburu, apart from its distinct appearance, semi-arid yet very beautiful, almost Classic Africa in a sense, is famous for a few of its species found only in this area – such as the Grevy’s Zebra, which differs in physical features from its cousin the Grants Zebra. Likewise you might want to look out for the Reticulated Giraffe with its unique pattern, differing from the Rothschild Giraffe commonly found in the rest of East Africa.
After lunch at the Samburu Game Lodge, right by the Ewaso Nyiro river, you will enjoy some time at rest, perhaps for an afternoon siesta, after which you will be taken for your first Samburu Safari, exploring the reserve and spotting the rich wildlife.
Return to the lodge come evening, typically by 6.30pm. Dinner follows:

Today you have an early rise for your estimated 6.15am Safari game drive during which you will see more of the Samburu’s vast wilderness. Early morning, and late afternoon are considered the best times to spot animals at their most active.
Return to the Lodge for a relaxed breakfast – rest of the morning at leisure. The lodge has a swimming pool and also offers a variety of add-on activities, such as nature walks { optional activities are a extra cost }.
After the sumptuous lunch, take a late afternoon safari game drive before returning to the Lodge by evening [ typically 6 to 6.30pm] in time for a relaxed evening which may be enlivened by entertainment provided by the lodge, followed by dinner.
Overnight Samburu Game Lodge.
Today you have an early breakfast and check out from the lodge by 7.30am for a short transfer to the nearby airstrip. Board your 08.30am flight onwards to Masai Mara, arriving there approx 10.30am:
Upon arrival you will be received and transferred from the airstrip to your overnight Lodge by the Lodge’s Driver guide in a 4x4 safari vehicle.
The Safari Lodge you are staying at is an acclaimed, luxury property which offers beautiful views of the Mara reserve.
Enjoy the rest of the morning at leisure before a delicious buffet lunch at the lodge.
Late afternoon, proceed for a comprehensive Safari Game drive in Masai Mara [typically starts 3.30pm] during which you explore the surrounding parts of the Mara and spot its amazing wildlife. (The safari vehicle may carry other guests from the lodge).
Return to the lodge by evening [ typically 6 to 6.30pm] in time for dinner.

After the sumptuous lunch, take a late afternoon safari game drive to further explore the reserve. Return to the Lodge by evening in time for a relaxed evening which may be enlivened by entertainment provided by the lodge, followed by dinner.
Overnight stay at Mara Serena Lodge:
Full day in Masai Mara. Enjoy an early morning game drive before breakfast. Most animals are active at this time of the day and you therefore are likely to see plenty of game.
Return to the lodge for a relaxed breakfast. You may schedule a visit to a nearby Maasai Village with the Camp Manager – this, typically one hour visit provides a fascinating insight into the day to day life of the famous Kenyan tribe, the nomadic Maasai. You also get to see their unique mud dwellings – the Manyatta huts.
Return to the camp for lunch.
Enjoy an afternoon safari into the reserve. Return to the camp by evening [ typically 6 to 6.30pm] in time for a relaxed evening , followed by dinner.
Overnight stay at Mara Serena Lodge:
Enjoy a short early morning game drive . Return to the lodge in time for a quick breakfast. Proceed to check out. You now bid Farewell to Masai Mara as you will be transferred to the nearby airstrip for your return flight to Nairobi departing approx 10.30am [ flying time approx 1 hour].
Upon arrival in Nairobi, we’ll have our Driver-guide waiting for you at the Wilson Airport for onward transfer to your hotel or to the International airport.
Notes:
Masai Mara Flight Timings:
There are 2 sets of flights to Masai Mara – the morning [ AM] flight departs Nairobi between 9am to 10am [ depending on carrier] and the afternoon flight departs approx 3pm from Nairobi. The planes turn right back shortly after getting to Masai Mara.
Keep in mind you must be at Wilson airport at least 45 minutes prior your flight departure – also allow for typically 1 hour transfer time from the International airport / City Hotel to Wilson airport.
Baggage Limit:
There is a strict Baggage Limit of 15 kgs per person on all domestic flights in this itinerary: [ Nairobi – Amboseli – Nairobi – Samburu – Masai Mara - Nairobi].

These will be non-exclusive, meaning other guests from the lodge may also be in the Safari vehicle during the gamedrive.
